Today I am sharing with you some tips for the perfect foundation and flawless skin!
Step 1: Find your perfect color
It can be a little hard to find the perfect shade for your skin tone, a trick that makes everything easier is to apply a little the foundation on your jaw line, if it “disappear” you found the shade, don’t forget to let it dry before concluding that it’s the right shade, some foundations oxidizes and gets darker after drying. And you can ask for samples always when it’s possible so you can test foundations at home, and see how they work on your skin.
Step 2: Prepare your skin
For the perfect canvas, your skin needs to be prepared, believe me, it makes a difference. Make sure to clean your skin and apply moisturizer, don’t forget to wait at least five minutes before continuing with the makeup. And, if you have dry skin, this step will help your foundation to don’t flake or cake.
Step 3: Apply primer
It’s a very important step if you want your skin to look flawless, primer can minimize the pores, mattify the face and make your foundation stay longer! But be careful, if you use too much primer, it can have the opposite effect, so use just the necessary!
Step 4: Blend it right
Blend your foundation from the center to the edges of your face, for just a little coverage, use your fingers, I usually do it on my everyday makeup, because I want my skin to look as natural as possible (check out how I do my everyday makeup). If you want a little more coverage you should use a beauty sponge or a brush for that.
Step 5: Apply Concealer
To hide colored marks, redness, acne or dark circles you should use a colorful concealer. I made a post explaining how to use the colorful concealers (click here to read about it), but don’t forget to apply colorful concealer before the foundation!
For the skin color concealer you should apply before the foundation, the concealer doesn’t need to be lighter than your skin color, except if you want to use it for highlight your face.
Step 6: Finish with powder
Pick up the best powder for your skin type, tap off the excess of the brush before applying the product, use a translucent powder or find the right shade.
